ART FIGURES — a Hong Kong-registered brand — is bringing back one of its best-known releases. The AF-033 Heavy SWAT – Remastered Edition is a 1/6 figure (about 33cm tall) that revisits the studio’s popular SWAT-style character with a refreshed sculpt, updated materials and improved tailoring. Retailers list the figure at $208 for a full pre-order payment, or a $38 non-refundable deposit with a $170 balance charged on release. The pre-order cutoff was 15 October 2026 (retailers may still accept late orders — check before paying), with an estimated release in Q4 2026.

The package

The figure’s centerpiece is a newly painted head sculpt — an unlicensed, film-inspired likeness with detailed wrinkles, skin texture and a beard — mounted on a body with over 30 points of articulation. Seven interchangeable hands come in the box: fists, gun-grip hands, relaxed hands and a dedicated right gripping hand, covering the figure’s full range of display options.

The outfit is cut from micro-fibre fabrics and includes a jacket, pants, boots, a bulletproof vest with nameplate, shorts, shoulder guards and knee pads — plus a helmet with visor lenses. Accessories round out the gear-focused theme: a smoke grenade, a sticky bomb with holder, a machine pistol with holster, four magazines with two magazine pouches, a folding knife and a medical first-aid kit. A specially designed diorama stand is included for stable posing.

For collectors familiar with the original AF-033, the Remastered tag matters: retailers and early impressions note refined paint applications, improved uniform materials and different hand options compared with the first release — the molded gun-grip hands, in particular, address a common complaint about the original’s gloved open hands.

Why it matters

AF-033 has been a sought-after item on the aftermarket, with original releases commanding steep resale prices as materials aged. The Remastered Edition gives collectors a second chance at the design with visibly upgraded execution — weathering on the armor, gold detailing on the shoulder pads and generally tighter tailoring.

The $208 price point sits in line with current 1/6 pre-order norms, and the $38 deposit option keeps the entry cost low ahead of the Q4 2026 release. Note the deposit is non-refundable unless the manufacturer cancels the project, so commit only if you plan to take the full balance. Check with your seller on release timing, as pre-order windows and stock allocations can vary between retailers.
