CCS TOYS built its name on heavy die-cast super robot figures — Getter Robo, Great Mazinger, Combattler V — so when the studio announced FigScript, a brand-new 1/12 articulated figure line, collectors paid attention. The first release: Ryoma Nagare, the leather-coated lead of the 1998 OVA Getter Robo: Armageddon, officially licensed (©1998 Go Nagai–Ken Ishikawa/Dynamic–Bandai Visual–Marubeni–Ayers).

CCS TOYS FigScript Ryoma Nagare 1/12

The figure

At 16.8 cm, Ryoma stands in the standard 1/12 bracket, built from ABS, POM, PVC and PA with a real fabric long coat — the signature garment that defines the character’s silhouette — plus a scarf, holster and a wristwatch communicator. The sculpt reproduces his rugged, weathered look from the show: heavy brow, stubble-shadowed jaw and swept-back hair.

The headline is the accessory count. The box includes four interchangeable face plates (including a masked head), eight interchangeable hands, and a small arsenal: two blasters, a revolver, a pistol with bullet effect parts, a hand cannon with two cannonballs, and six grenades — along with handcuffs, a translucent clasp, attachment parts, an articulated display stand and a base. That is a generous loadout for the price point, and it covers most of the poses the character is known for, from gunfights to the Getter-beam stare-down.

Why it matters

At an MSRP of $91.99, FigScript lands squarely in the territory of Japanese 1/12 lines while adding the fabric-garment finish that Chinese studios have been refining in recent years. The line matters because it marks CCS TOYS — previously a mecha-only maker — stepping into licensed human characters, with more FigScript releases promised afterward.

The Ryoma is currently sold out at BBTS, and as the line’s debut entry it is likely to stay a wanted item on the secondary market. If you’re collecting the Armageddon cast or just want a 1/12 figure that poses like an anime still, this is the release that put FigScript on the map.
