Hot Toys Kamen Rider W CycloneJoker: 1/6 Double Mask, LED Eyes
Contents
Hot Toys is back in the world of Fuuto. Seventeen years after the series debuted, the Hong Kong maker has revealed its Kamen Rider W CycloneJoker 1/6 figure — the two-in-one detective, Shotaro Hidari and Philip, in their primary form — and it’s loaded with the kind of engineering Hot Toys usually reserves for its flagship lines.

The figure
The centerpiece is the newly developed Double Mask helmet: its eyes run on a magnetically activated LED system with four lighting modes, including a single-eye flashing effect that recreates Shotaro and Philip’s telepathic communication. The asymmetric CycloneJoker suit is faithfully reproduced — a multi-layered epoxy-coated screen-printed fabric undersuit (Gaiarmor) under the green-and-black Cyclone and Joker armor pieces — and the figure stands about 31 cm tall with 30 points of articulation.
Two scarves cover both display styles: a rigid sculpted version frozen in a windswept pose, and a fabric version with an embedded wire for posing the wind yourself.

The gear
W comes fully loaded. The Doubledriver belt has working memory slots for the Cyclone and Joker Memories, and a separate Doubledriver storage box holds an inactive-state buckle (swappable with the active one) plus all six core Gaia Memories — Cyclone, Heat, Luna, Joker, Metal and Trigger. The Stag Phone in cell-phone mode takes its Stag Memory, and Hot Toys even included Akiko Narumi’s green slipper stamped with “Now, count up your sins!” — the joke weapon from the show’s fantasy sequence.
A Special Edition is also available, adding an exclusive translucent green-and-purple wind-effect diorama base for W’s whirlwind finishers.

Why it matters
Kamen Rider W is the fan-favorite Heisei Rider that has waited longest for a proper Hot Toys treatment, and this one doesn’t cut corners: LED Double Mask, the full six-Memory set with storage box, and a Special Edition wind base for the finishers. For a 2009 series getting its first major collectible tie-in in years, it’s the definitive version.
