LADoTOYS follows its debut ERA-001 Liya with something much stranger and more ambitious: Gomora, the first articulated figure from the Ultra Kaiju Humanization Project — the officially licensed line that turns classic Ultraman kaiju into girls. This is, per BBTS, the world’s first officially licensed articulated figure from the project, and it fuses the rugged texture of a kaiju toy with the fine detailing of a bishoujo figure.

LADoTOYS Gomora DX 1/12 figure

The figure

Gomora stands about 13.5 cm tall in 1/12 scale, built from PVC, ABS and POM. The sculpt uses 5-axis precision carving to hold both the clothing folds and the textured kaiju skin, and the face work is the headline: movable eyeballs let you adjust her gaze, and the DX edition ships with five interchangeable faces — smiling, playful, angry, terrified, plus a shy face exclusive to the DX. Four pairs of hands (relaxed, fists, knife hands, gun hands) cover the posing range.

The engineering is genuinely thoughtful. The kaiju tail is multi-segmented for wide, natural bends; the shoulders use butterfly joints so the arms can cross; a knee design with an anti-gap mechanism keeps the big kaiju knees looking clean at deep bends; and pull-down leg joints help with wide stances.

DX edition

The standard edition is a solid figure, but the DX is the one to get: it adds the Super Vibration Wave effect with two charging angles, the severed-tail cross-section in two parts (body side and tail side), and an effect stand — everything needed to recreate Gomora’s iconic fight moments against Ultraman. The eyeball adjustment rod is included in both versions.

Availability

Pre-orders close on 28 October 2026 — four days from now — so this one is time-sensitive. BBTS lists the Deluxe at $114.99 and Bombusbee takes a $14.97 deposit; release is estimated for Q3 2027 (Bombusbee lists 30 September 2027). The same series has King Joe and Zetton announced as in development, so Gomora is the start of a line, not a one-off. Product photography via BigBadToyStore.

Why it matters

Kaiju-humanization is one of the most distinctive premises in the 1/12 space — an officially licensed Ultraman line that is neither a straight kaiju vinyl nor a generic anime girl — and LADoTOYS is treating it as a flagship: movable eyes, five faces, and real joint engineering on the tail and knees. With the cutoff days away, the DX is the version to lock in.
