Romankey is one of the Chinese brands pushing 1/12 scale beyond licensed subjects. Its original Cocoon Series of articulated 1/12 figures introduces small, strange, personality-packed characters — and the second release, PPX001 JIJI, is a perfect example of why collectors are paying attention.

Romankey Cocoon Series PPX001 JIJI 1/12 action figure

The character

JIJI is a mischievous little traveler, defined by the insect perched on their head and the wooden basket strapped to their back. Branches, a freshly caught fish, and other small treasures peek out of the basket — the whole figure reads as a wanderer mid-journey. At just 9.3 cm, it is tiny, but the sculpt sells the story.

The accessory loadout

For a figure this small, the set contents are generous:

  • Insect headpiece, headband, sash belt, wristband, ankle band
  • Four pairs of hands (fist, open, holding, relaxed)
  • Fork, shield, sword, axe
  • Back basket, canteen, caught fish, fishing rod
  • Eye adjustment tool, stand rod, stand clip, display base

The highly articulated body poses from curious peering all the way to lying flat — exactly what you want for playful scene-building and figure photography.

Why it matters

Romankey also makes the popular Romankey × COWL super-articulated blank bodies that customizers buy in bulk — but JIJI shows the brand can do original character design too. In a 1/12 market crowded with military and anime licenses, a weird little traveler with a bug on his head stands out.

If you collect 1/12 originals, the Cocoon Series is one to watch.
